Frequently Asked Questions

Booking & Logistics

  • Do I need to book my snorkeling tour in advance?

While we do accept last-minute bookings for guests already in San Pedro, we highly recommend booking at least 1–2 weeks in advance, especially for private catamaran charters. This ensures you get your preferred date and the boat size that best fits your group.

  • Where do the tours depart from?

Our tours depart from our central dock in San Pedro Town. Once your booking is confirmed, we will send you a GPS pin and easy directions. If you are arriving by golf cart, there is nearby parking available.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

We offer a full refund if you cancel at least 48 hours before your scheduled departure. In the event of unsafe weather conditions, we will work with you to either reschedule your trip or provide a full refund.

The Snorkeling Experience

  • Which sites will we visit?

Our standard San Pedro snorkeling trips focus on the world-famous Hol Chan Marine Reserve and Shark Ray Alley. For private full-day charters, we can also customize the itinerary to include Caye Caulker, Mexico Rocks, or secret spots along the barrier reef.

  • Is snorkeling gear provided?

Yes! We provide high-quality masks, snorkels, and fins for all ages. We also provide life vests and "noodles" for those who want extra buoyancy. You are also welcome to bring your own professional gear if you prefer.

  • I’m a beginner - can I still go?

Absolutely. Our guides are experts at assisting first-time snorkelers. We provide a safety briefing before you enter the water, and our guides stay in the water with you to ensure everyone is safe and comfortable.

Local San Pedro Tips

  • Can you help with transport to the dock?

If you are staying at a resort on the north or south side of Ambergris Caye, we recommend renting a golf cart for the duration of your stay. If you need a reliable rental, check out our sister company, Quality Golf Cart Rental, for the best rates in town.

  • Is there an entrance fee for the Marine Reserve?

Yes, the Hol Chan Marine Reserve requires a park fee (usually $10 USD). This is often not included in our pricing—please check your specific booking details.
